Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Director of Sales to join our team in Baghdad, Iraq. This key leadership role will be instrumental in driving our sales strategies, managing client relationships, and achieving revenue targets in this vibrant market.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize revenue and market share
- Identify and qualify new business prospects, conducting sales calls and site inspections
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships with clients, understanding their needs and booking patterns
- Collaborate with the Director of Sales & Marketing to set competitive rates and pricing strategies
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform sales tactics
- Lead and mentor the sales team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
- Create detailed sales forecasts and action plans, reporting progress against targets
- Conduct presentations and property tours to showcase our offerings to potential clients
- Stay informed about all aspects of hotel operations to ensure comprehensive client service
- Organize and maintain an efficient filing system for the Sales Department
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel Management, or a related field
- Minimum of five years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share
- Strong knowledge of the Baghdad and Iraqi hospitality market
- Excellent understanding of market segmentation and distribution systems
- Superior presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding leadership and team management abilities
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills for effective market analysis and forecasting
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
