What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for an experienced and confident hostess to join our front-of-house team. As the first face guests see when they enter Don Gennaro, you’ll play a key role in creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. You should be comfortable managing reservations, handling guest inquiries, and keeping a smooth flow at the entrance—even on busy nights.
A polished appearance, calm presence, and strong communication skills are essential. If you enjoy meeting new people and making sure every guest feels cared for from the moment they walk in, this is the role for you.
Kurdish speakers and locals are especially welcome, as many of our guests speak the language — but it’s not a must. English is necessary for the role.
Your Day-to-Day Will Include:
- Greet guests at the door with a warm, professional welcome
- Take and manage reservations via phone, online platforms, and in person
- Organize seating arrangements based on guest preferences and availability
- Maintain a smooth flow of guest traffic into and out of the dining area
- Coordinate with the floor team to ensure timely table turnover
- Keep track of guest waitlists and communicate accurate wait times
What You Should Bring:
- Previous experience working as a hostess in a fine dining or upscale restaurant
- Confident, friendly, and able to handle high guest volume professionally
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and time management abilities
- Clean, well-groomed appearance with a consistently positive attitude
- Good command of English; Kurdish is a big plus
