Job Scope:
Trade marketing specialist should play a key part in executing trade marketing strategies and initiatives aimed at supporting the FMCG distribution partner and driving brand awareness and product sales across various retail and distribution channels.
Job Responsibilities
Trade Marketing Implementation:
Work with concerned departments to ensure up to standard execution of all marketing activities and optimize
Ensure that marketing activities are aligned with the needs of distributors, retailers, and consumers.
- Participate in preparation of presentations, monthly reports, competitor’s report etc
- Coordinate with the agencies to ensure execution of campaigns.
- Trade Marketing Calendar: Prepare the yearly Trade marketing calendar in conjunction with Management.
- Within the Calendar, provide examples of Best Practice and establish KPI’s for key initiatives
- Distributor & Retailer Support: Develop and manage relationships with FMCG distributors and retail partners to drive product availability and visibility in stores.
- Coordinate with distributors for promotional programs, in-store displays, point-of-sale materials, and product placements.
- Market Analysis and Reporting: Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
- Track sales performance, market share, and promotional effectiveness, providing regular reports and insights to the management team.
Product Launch Support:
Assist in the launch of new dairy products, ensuring that marketing materials and promotional support are provided to distributors and retailers for maximum impact.
- Ensure proper product placement and visibility during the launch phase
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth execution of trade marketing initiatives and alignment with business objectives.
- Provide feedback from distributors and retailers to internal teams for product development or marketing improvements.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
Business Experience
Proven experience (+3 years) in trade marketing, sales, or brand management, preferably in FMCG or dairy products
Strong understanding of trade marketing principles and retail operations.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to analyze market data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Knowledge of the dairy industry and experience working with FMCG distribution networks is a plus.
