Purpose of the Position
An Accountant is responsible for managing and the reporting of financial information for RIGT. Managing the Finance department by collecting, tracking, and correcting the company’s finances and prepare financial and operations reporting. Accountant duties and responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Reports company’s finances to management and offers suggestions about resource utilization and assumptions underlying budget forecast
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Document financial transactions by entering account information
- Implement preventive and corrective actions to address issues found during the reviews
- Support the management in cash management, budgeting and forecasting, procedures, responses to audit findings and trouble shooting in finance and accounting
- Provide assistance to management in the preparation of their operational, budget, and forecasting
- Documentation is archived monthly and readily available for audits
- Review and finalize financial reports for submission
- Ensure the staff provide all required financial data (monthly) for review, consolidation and analysis
- Ensure that all necessary documents are requested, collected, and compiled
- Analyzing data collected in order to determine the state of the company’s financial health
- Analyzing data to understand where the company is generating and losing revenue
- Keeping an eye on incoming payments from accounts receivable and outgoing payments from accounts payable
- Examining expenses submitted by employees
- Maintain highly organized and updated client files
- Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve shared goals
- Auditing the POs and making as a summary and classify as per projects. Documents financial transaction by entering account information
- Examining Bank Statement and recording
- Generating company financial reports as requested by the management
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor degree of related fields
- 2 – 4 years of work experience in a finance department
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
- Strong and good communication abilities, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially with Excel aptitudes
- Proven experience and demonstrable understanding of financial and cash management
- Good management accounting experience, including a pro-active approach to budget monitoring, reporting etc.
- Good demonstrable experience of analyzing financial information to understand the current situation and to determine the strategic direction
- Preferred hands-on involvement in accounting programming packages, e.g. QuickBooks
- Attention to detail and accuracy
