Position Finance Assistant Level Coordination Supervises N/A Shift Full-Time Reporting to (Hierarchical) Country Finance Coordinator Reporting to (Technical) Deputy Country Finance Coordinator All INTERSOS employees are expected to perform their roles and responsibilities according to the INTERSOS charter of values, code of ethics, PSEA and Child Protection policies. Purpose/objective of the position:
The Admin/Finance Assistant/ Cashier is responsible for the proper archive and payments of the base of Erbil and its projects. In this context, he/she the payments are done on time project documents are archived properly, in accordance with the Organization procedures and the Country Finance coordinator/Deputy Finance coordinator directions.
Generic Duties:
- To manage bank withdrawals in coordination with Finance Administration Officer and CFO/Deputy CFO
- Planning and organizing INTESOS projects documents
- To organize and manage the administrative files according to INTERSOS procedures (archivist).
- Collect and following up with field documents to be check and archived
- Preparation of the audit requirements documents.
- Organize the files to be sent to the warehouse
- Payments of suppliers:
- Checking the document received from other department on weekly bases.
- Preparation of the payment (cash, cheques, Bank transfers).
- Archive the payment on IMP to be ready to deliver to the finance officer to register.
- To support the logistic department in the finalization and proper filing of procurement documentation.
- Collect signatories for finalization of the payments.
- Tracking of the payments and cheques of the Erbil office.
- Supervising the volunteers work in the department.
- Salaries payment
- To support in the payment of salaries (cheques preparation ad signatories)
- collect and archive the monthly salary slips.
- Undertake other duties as requested by the Head of Mission, CFC, Deputy CFC, Finance Admin Officer.
Person Specification:
Education and professional experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting would be preferred or a degree in business administration, however a relevant diploma or certification in finance or accounting is also be considered acceptable.
- A fresh graduate or a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a finance related role is desirable.
