NES Fircroft are delighted to be partnering with and Oil & Gas operating giant who are looking to add a Project Manager to their team working on a new development in Iraq.
The role will start as a remote based and then transition to a 28 / 28 rotational based position in Iraq in due course.
Role will be for an initial 12 month contract duration and day rate is negotiable depending on experience and suitability.
Main Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of Projects, in support of the site objectives..
- Ensures that safety is integrated into all aspects of each project. Plan, manage, monitor and coordinate safety in all phases of the project.
- Overall management of their project portfolio, including scope management, schedule, cost, risk management, quality and resource management.
- Responsible for overall project performance, including safety, schedule, cost, quality and technical specification compliance.
- Management of the project delivery team to ensure all parties are coordinated to deliver the project objectives.
- Management of project contractors and support functions in support of project objectives.
- Ensures procurement and contract award progresses in line with project objectives.
- Proactively monitors and reports project progress, issues and constraints, acting where necessary to maintain progress and overcome issues.
- Regularly interfaces/liaises with project controls team to maintain robust integrated schedule.
- Management and coordination with all key stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of the project to specification.
- Development of contract strategies, in conjunction with the PGM and PSCM.
- Initiates and provides input to project governance, safety, and maintenance & operability reviews.
- Overall coordination and expediting of engineering and procurement functions supporting the project.
- Compilation of all necessary project progress, status, close-out and lessons learnt reports.
Skills and Qualifications
• Essential Education – Degree in relevant engineering, science or project management discipline
• Min 10 years’ experience working in the oil & gas industry including experience in a Project Engineering capacity.
• Extensive Project & Brownfield experience is preferred

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deliver exceptional results in difficult project environments.
