Al-Obaidi Company was established in Baghdad, as it specialized in trading air-conditioning, refrigeration and home appliances. As a second branch was opened in the province of Najaf, followed by the opening of a third branch in the province of Babil, in addition to the points of sale spread in all Iraqi provinces, as a result of the success achieved by the company.
Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated Freight Coordinator to join our Supply Chain department at Crafft Al-Obaido. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing freight operations, supporting the movement of goods, and ensuring timely deliveries. This position is ideal for an individual eager to advance within the supply chain management field.
Responsibilities
· Coordinate freight shipments with accuracy, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to schedules.
· Collaborate closely with carriers to book spaces, provide shipping line options for various ports, track shipments, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery.
· Maintain clear communication with internal teams and external suppliers regarding shipment statuses.
· Assist management with scheduling timely deliveries and support order fulfillment processes.
· Contribute to optimizing freight processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
· Log and track freight costs, lead-times, and other metrics for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reporting.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in any field or equivalent experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
· Familiar with Carriers such as CMA, MSC, YML, HMM and Cusco
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
· Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

· Previous experience in a logistics or freight coordination role is a plus.
· Familiarity with freight management software and systems.
· Basic understanding of shipping regulations and customs procedures.
