Position Title: Chief Steward (Steward Chef)

Reports To: Executive Chef / F&B Manager
Job Summary:
Titanic Hotel & Spa is seeking a reliable and organized Chief Steward (Steward Chef) to lead the stewarding team and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization across all kitchen and back-of-house areas. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth kitchen operations by managing dishwashing, sanitation, equipment storage, and waste control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all stewarding activities including dishwashing, kitchen cleanliness, and sanitation.
- Ensure proper cleaning and storage of all kitchen equipment, utensils, and crockery.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen and back-of-house areas in accordance with HACCP and hotel hygiene standards.
- Oversee the cleaning and maintenance schedule of heavy kitchen equipment (ovens, grills, hoods, etc.).
- Manage stewarding staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations.
- Control breakage, loss, and efficient inventory of cleaning supplies and kitchen tools.
- Work closely with the culinary and F&B teams to support kitchen operations during service and events.
- Ensure proper waste disposal and recycling procedures are followed.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic work environment for all stewarding staff.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a stewarding supervisory or managerial role within a 4 or 5-star hotel.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with hotel sanitation policies, chemicals, and kitchen safety procedures.
- Knowledge of HACCP and other health & safety regulations.
Ability to lead and train a multicultural team effectively.
