Responsibilities
As a car rental counter sales agent, you must effectively perform the tasks below.
Greeting and Assisting Customers
• Welcome customers as they arrive at the rental counter and help with their car
rental needs.
• Listen attentively to customers’ requests and preferences to provide personalized
recommendations.
• Answer questions about car rental policies, procedures, and pricing.
Handling Reservations and Bookings
• Process and confirm reservations and bookings accurately and efficiently.
• Verify customer information and payment details to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Provide customers with their rental agreement and other relevant documents.
Providing Vehicle Information and Recommendations
- Answer questions about the available car models, features, and pricing.
- • Make recommendations based on customers’ needs and preferences.
- • Provide information about additional services such as baby seats, insurance packages and
- other service options like upselling.
Handling Payments and Processing Transactions
- Open and close rental agreements and take payments from clients via a range of payment
- options.
- • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all necessary information is
- collected and recorded.
- • Handle refunds, cancellations, and other transactions as needed.
- • Address Customer Concerns and Resolve Issues
- • Listen attentively to customers’ concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- • Offer solutions and alternatives when possible.
- • Escalate issues to supervisors or managers as needed.
- • Reporting and record keeping of all the transactions and rentals.
Maintaining Knowledge and Skills
- Stay up to date with car rental policies, procedures, and products.
- • Participate in SIXT RSA online training and development programs through Sixt campus to
- improve knowledge and skills.
- • Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues to contribute to a team environment.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the rental counter, waiting area, and
- surrounding premises.
- • Assist with customer pick-up and drop-off as needed.
- • Participate in quality control and compliance audits as required.
- • Ensuring that the cars are always prepared for the client. and arranging which vehicles to
- send for maintenance and cleaning.
- • Daily inspection of the vehicles in the parking lot and sending the status report to
- headquarters.
- • Participating in day-to-day video reclaiming.
Requirements & Skills:
- College degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- • At least 1-2 years of experience in sales, preferably in the car rental or transportation
- industry.
- • Must have a valid driving license.
- • Excellent negotiating and communication skills, as well as the ability to use Outlook and
- Excel spreadsheets.
- • Able to communicate both in written and verbally in English, Arabic and Kurdish.
- • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- • Ability to adopt the car rental’s changing situations and customer demands.
- • Flexible regarding work schedules; counter staff work three shifts a day, including
- weekends and holidays.
