Contract type: International (expatriate) assignment. Fixed-term, 28/28 rotational contract.
Language requirements: Advanced proficiency in English.
At Eni, we are looking for a Construction Supervisor (Mechanical & Pipeline) within the Zubair Field Operating Division in Zubair, Iraq. You will be responsible for supervising, coordinating and controlling contractor/subcontractor activities on-site (Brownfield), ensuring that mechanical and pipeline construction (including flowlines, manifolds, trunklines/pipelines) is executed in compliance with project specifications, schedules, quality standards, and HSE regulations.
Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).

Main Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day brownfield site construction operations within assigned areas (flowlines, manifolds, trunklines, and pipelines).
- Monitor multi-project progress against the schedule, identify criticalities and delays and implement mitigation measures.
- Prepare and review reports, including construction progress summaries, manpower forecasts and schedule updates.
- Review construction method statements, procedures and schedules to optimize efficiency.
- Monitor contractor/subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with specifications, procedures and standards.
- Verify that all work follows approved designs, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans) and method statements.
- Determine and report manpower requirements for field activities and adjust as needed.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety codes, standards, and permit requirements (OSHA, API, ISO, etc.).
- Conduct regular safety inspections, attend toolbox talks, identify construction risks and ensure all necessary permitting compliance.
- Provide oversight to ensure personnel safety and environmental protection.
- Oversee work package implementation, from approval to mechanical completion and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with ASME, API and project-specific quality standards.
- Coordinate with QC inspectors and third-party agencies for welding, NDT, and hydrotesting.
- Liaise with design engineers to resolve technical issues and coordinate implementation.
- Liaise with Field Operations to resolve technical issues and coordinate site implementation.
- Work and coordinate with operations teams to ensure smooth handover and minimize disruptions.
- Keep project management informed of status, deviations and critical risks.
- Maintain accurate daily progress reports and punch lists.
- Ensure proper closeout of work packages.
Skills And Experience Required
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Pipeline Engineering.
- Extensive experience in oil & gas construction (mechanical & pipelines) in a supervisory role.
- Proficient in P&IDs, isometrics, pipeline alignment sheets, piping arrangements and piping & pipeline standards and specifications.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Knowledge of welding (SMAW/GTAW), pigging, hydrotesting and coating processes.
- Proactive, good communicator and strong problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English.
