Role Summary:
The Construction Site Engineer Supervisor is responsible for supervising and overseeing all on-site engineering activities related to construction projects in the oil and gas sector.
This role involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders, ensuring that construction work is executed in line with design specifications, safety standards, project execution plan, project quality, project schedules, etc. This is a critical role in managing resources, resolving technical issues, and ensuring that the project meets its objectives in terms of quality, safety, and budget.

Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Manage all on-site engineering activities, ensuring construction aligns with the project plan, design specifications, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, planners, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for on-site engineering and construction activities, regularly communicating with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Technical Oversight
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure compliance with design requirements and standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to site engineers, supervisors, and construction teams, resolving technical issues during construction.
- Facilitate coordination between disciplines such as civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Construction Supervision
- Oversee the allocation of resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient use and optimal productivity on-site.
- Monitor construction costs to ensure the project remains within budget and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors to ensure their work meets required quality and safety standards.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment by coordinating with procurement and logistics teams.
Quality Assurance
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure construction work meets specified standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction activities to identify and address quality issues.
- Maintain accurate records of construction progress, quality inspections, and non-conformance issues.
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure all construction activities comply with the company’s HSE policies and local regulatory requirements.
- Promote a strong safety culture on-site by leading by example and ensuring all workers adhere to safety protocols.
- Investigate and report safety incidents or near misses, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Monitor progress against the project schedule, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare and present progress reports, technical reports, and other documentation as required.
- Prepare and review cost estimates, change orders, and other financial documents related to the project.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree or additional certifications (e.g., PMP, Chartered Engineer) would be an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in construction supervision within the oil and gas industry.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
- Relevant certifications in construction management, project management, or engineering.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., API, ASME, ISO).
- Arabic native and professional English.
