Job Summary
The candidate will be responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and management of our IT systems and network infrastructure., for ensuring the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. For deploying and maintaining antivirus and security applications, performing backups, and managing SAN storage devices. This role involves ensuring the stability, security, and integrity of the systems and networks that support our services.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Design, implement, and optimize scalable and secure server and network architectures to support business operations and growth.
- Oversee the management of our infrastructure environments, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Establish and enforce network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems, to safeguard sensitive financial data.
- Monitor network performance and security, proactively identifying and addressing vulnerabilities or performance issues.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Set clear goals and performance expectations for team members, providing regular feedback and support for professional growth.
- Develop and implement IT policies and best practices to ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, CBI) and internal standards.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of IT systems and processes to ensure adherence to compliance requirements and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integrations, application deployments, and technology initiatives that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Act as a point of contact for executive management regarding IT infrastructure and network performance, providing insights and recommendations.
- Oversee SAN switch installation and management.
- Utilize backup software to ensure data protection and disaster recovery.
- Conduct regular backup operations and implement failover procedures.
- Travel to remote sites may be required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Educational Background: Associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other networking-related fields are a plus.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in a system administration and network management, including Active Directory, Group Policy, scripting, Exchange, Windows, virtual machines, and Terminal Server.
- Technical Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and security best practices.
- Proficient knowledge of virtualization technologies, such as VMware, Hyper-V or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, virtual server and other operating systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with hardware and software installation and support.
- Knowledge of computing infrastructures and familiarity with server management and monitoring tools.
