Summary:
The role involves sending requests for quotations for various approved suppliers, preparing price comparisons, sourcing materials from local markets, coordinating with departments, and preparing weekly reports on LPO status, material delivery, and pending requestions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implementation of policies, procedures, and strategies for procurement activities and ensures they are in compliance with the Company's policies and procedures.
- Monitors and controls dedicated divisional requirements related to replenishment spares prior procurement process.
- Review and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment, whilst providing feedback to the business on cost, deliveries etc.
- Seeks most cost-effective purchase option from supply chain without sacrificing the quality of parts.
- Provides 3 quote comparisons for addressable items.
- Re-source materials and recommend potential providers to management.
- Liaise with the freight forwarding department towards expediting the materials.
- Monitors records of purchase orders in an organized manner on a continuous basis.
- Verify goods receipts and supplier’s invoices prior to forwarding to Accounts.
- Coordinates with the engineering department ensuring that the purchased items and materials are in compliance with the requested specifications.
- Preparing reports as required by management.
- Performs other duties as required.

- Strictly follows Company’s policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations to protect and maintain the health and safety of oneself, others, and the environment adopted by the Company.
- Promptly reports any possible violations on the Company’s health and safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Educational Background
Diploma / Graduate in any Engineering related academics.
Technical Qualification / Certification
- Proficiency in data analysis and management.
- SAP procurement knowledge is preferred.
Related Work Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in purchasing spare parts for equipment’s maintenance (Knowledge of IT and facility management procurement is a plus.)
- Strong understanding of the Iraqi local market is essential.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure the best terms and pricing.
- Good Knowledge of equipment types.
